What does cap space get you, anyway?

Multiple news outlets report the Bulls just signed Big Ben Wallace to a 4-year, $52M deal.

If they keep Tyson Chandler (which is doubtful) the Bulls might just have the best rebounding, defensive frontcourt in the league. All they'd need is to bring in Pat Riley and go back in time to the mid-90s and they'd be set.

It's probably safe to assume Chandler is gone before the end of the summer.

Is it too late for the Pistons to retract the trade dumping Darko on the Magic? The Pistons can suddenly afford to resign him now.

The real question isn't can they get Darko back, but can they re-draft and take Carmelo or Wade with that pick?

By the way, the Pistons reportedly offered about $11m per year. The Bulls offer $13m. And that's worth it to Wallace to move? While the Bulls are up and coming, the Pistons were a sure thing to repeat as Eastern Conference contenders if he stayed. Priorities. Kind of like Pedro, if you ask me, with the exception that Pedro wanted (and got) 4 years, while the Sox wanted to go shorter.
