I'm pretty enthusiastic about Rondo, although I'm not sure I could be as enthusiastic as Simmons. This is the same guy who was calling Tony Allen 'mini-Artest' the summer after he was drafted.
Rondo has been very very impressive during the preseason. If you want to read another account of Rajon's game, you can go back to the July 19th account I posted from G. who watched all the Vegas summer league games.
I won't repeat all the positive accolades about this kid here, although I will note that its preseason. Rajon has yet to face the first team that is specifically game-planning for him, has played a lot minutes against scrubs, and is on on game five of a ~90 game NBA (preseason and) season.
