Garnett tore into some of his teammates who were joking around in the locker room after Saturday night's 110-102 loss to the Phoenix Suns at US Airways Center.
Garnett, upset by some of the banter he heard, came out of the training room and yelled at them.
"I don't like to speak from a frustrated mind," Garnett said later in an even tone after most of his teammates had cleared the locker room. "There's no way we're playing one of the best teams in the (expletive) league and you're not hyped, you're not up. But the atmosphere in here is like we won. This (expletive) hurts."
"The focus here, it's got to hurt when you lose," Garnett said. "I don't know if it's like that. I've never been one to hold my tongue, and I never will. This (expletive) hurts. If we're really trying to make a run for this thing. … We've got (20) games to go."
"We're trying to make the playoffs, and we need everybody to comply with that."
Interesting word, comply. I guess being genuinely motivated is out of the question, hunh?
Countdown to the next big Kevin Garnett trade rumors article on ESPN: ten, nine, eight....

I guess this is the final word on the Blount/Davis deal. Two thumbs up for Trader Dan. Talk about addition by subtraction.
This comes from someone who watched the Clippers-Timberwolves game last night:
Blount played really hard, I wish I had brought one of my daughter's poop diapers with me because I would have thrown it at him. he was also outrbounded by Kaman by 17 rebounds and made 2 killer TO's down the stretch - warrants mentioning. the guy is just a born loser. speaking of born losers, Ricky was gunning and doing Ricky things - he was hot in the first half and disappeared in the second half because the Clips were switching perfectly on him and he has a basketball IQ of about 30, so he went into full sulk mode down the stretch and couldn't figure out any other way to help the team. hey ricky, here's an idea - what about grabbing a rebound? and banks had 5 assists in the first quarter and was never seen again after a jumper with 20 seconds left on the shot clock led to an easy Clips fast break.
KG honestly looked like he might kill everyone on the court at the end after the umpteenth horrible Minny turnover, he is going to be a Section 8 soon. that team couldn't A.) be dumber, and B.) have worse chemistry. KG didn't make a FG in the last 22 minutes, to put in perspective how bad things are there. not sure if Dwyane Casey is the sharpest tool in the shed either. but i think it's funny that we gave Minny 3 starters in that trade and they still suck. i felt horrible for KG. everyoine in my section was talking about it. it's almost cruel how his career is turning out. the defining moment was when they were down by 6 with like 45 seconds left and Jaric (who couldn't suck more) threw a lazy inbounds pass to Ricky, who didn't put up his hands in time and Ross got a fast-break dunk to seal the game. KG came over to jaric holding his hands up like "how the fuck did you throw that?" and then walked away in disbelief. i thought he was just going to walk right off the court. my clips friend said that the ballboy claims KG flipped out in the locker room after - no surprise.
one other highlight: They ran the obligatory post-up move for Justin Reed in which he took the nice-looking turnaround that nearly broke the backboard. I could almost hear Tommy saying, "Now that's his shot, if he can just get it to fall consistently..."
I don't miss watching any of those four guys. at all.
