That faint rumbling...

...coming from the sports bars of Allston and Brighton has been the sound of (4) Boston College and (13) Pacific playing to a 34-34 tie at the half.

Go Eagles!

Feeling dangerously like an upset, here: BC built an 11-point lead midway through the second half but now Pacific has come storming back.

59-57, Boston College with four and a half minutes left to play

You gotta be kidding me! Three free throws, a quick layup and a three pointer and Pacific has tied.

65-65 with 12 seconds left. BC has the ball and the final shot.

oooo-vertime: another Pacific three-pointer and we're down by that much a minute and a half in. The Eagles have now scored 6 points in the last 7 minutes.

If we lose this game we can talk about shooting 3-20 (so far) from outside.

Mike Webb, whoever you are, you're killing me. If Pacific wins this game I can only assume you are getting very happily laid back on campus.

Jared Dudley! Double overtime!

I'm glad you're all enjoying this as much as I am.

Jared Dudley! Again with the three point play and the Eagles are up by 10 with less than a minute to play in the second overtime.

Eagles win! Eagles win!

I want to loudly type Boston College cheers here, but I don't know any.

Flap those wings!
Attack Steven Colbert!

The last eight emails that you are now deleting in an annoyed mood have been a public service of your friendly, office-bound basketball fans.

Usually when people use blog technology to do this sort of thing (which is called "live blogging" something -- for a post-modern example, you can check out funny lefty TBogg live blogging the perpetually self-satisfied Ann Althouse live blogging the Academy Awards -- but I digress -- anyhoo, usually when people do this sort of thing they post once at the outset, and then keep adding to the post and re-posting the edited version. The advantage, or disadvantage, of doing it vis-a-vis our platform is that no one will get the edited posts e-mailed to them, and thus they will not know that you are live blogging unless you say so in the first post.

Thanks for the excuse to link to the TBogg/Althouse thing, to which she took umbrage.

Maybe you're watching NC-Wilmington and GWU right now, but the Celtics are up 61-38 in Miami late in the second quarter. Paul Pierce already has 23 points.
