Speaking of replacements, the funniest draft projection I've seen in a while is Don Banks's suggestion that the Pats might take a receiver at their slot in the first round. That doesn't seem like their philosophy at all to me. The earliest Belichick has ever picked a wide receiver is the 2nd round, I believe (Deion Branch), and most later than that.

A little sad, although Pioli and Belichick have done a pretty good job of finding later-round WRs that have worked out (like Givens himself).
